Overview ¶
Package sha256sum implements the sha256sum builtin command.
sha256sum computes SHA-256 digests for regular files or standard input and verifies GNU-style or tagged SHA256 checksum manifests. File contents are streamed through a fixed-size buffer. Manifest line length, total manifest bytes, entry count, and operand count are bounded.
Accepted flags:
-c, --check read SHA-256 sums from files or standard input and verify them
--quiet do not print OK for successfully verified files
--status do not print per-file verification results
-h, --help print usage to stdout and exit 0
