Overview ¶
membrane-eval-lifecycle tests Membrane's lifecycle features against pure RAG.
It runs four scenarios where Membrane's structured memory (retraction, reinforcement, supersession, decay) should outperform naive vector similarity search:
- Retraction: Wrong facts retracted → Membrane filters them, RAG still returns them.
- Reinforcement: Useful records boosted → Membrane ranks them higher via hybrid scoring.
- Supersession: Outdated facts replaced → Membrane prefers the new version.
- Decay: Stale records lose salience → Membrane deprioritizes them.
