conformance

Overview ¶

Package conformance is the suite every adapter of the crdt port must pass. It holds an adapter to what the port promises: saves round-trip, a reconcile is minimal and idempotent, identified list items keep their identity, sentences merge character by character, concurrent writes are kept as conflicts, and any number of replicas converge however their sync messages are lost, repeated, reordered or partitioned.

Every random choice comes from a seed, so a failure reproduces. Actors are random by design, so which concurrent write wins varies from run to run; the suite asserts only what holds whichever wins.
