credits

Overview ¶

Credits generates the contributor list and third-party software notices embedded in pkg/assets/credits. By default it checks the committed third-party data against the current dependencies and fails when it is stale; run it with -check=false (task credits) to regenerate.

The component list is every Go module linked into any shipped binary, found with "go list -deps" for each release platform and tag set, plus the hand-maintained entries in extras.go for code and data that do not come from Go modules. License, copying, notice and patent files are copied verbatim from each module directory a linked package lives under.
