Overview ¶
Package dockerenv points testcontainers at the active Docker context.
It lives apart from storetest because storetest imports atepg, so atepg cannot import storetest back, and both need this before starting a container.

Functions ¶
func Configure ¶
Configure sets the environment testcontainers reads to find Docker, unless it is already set. testcontainers-go resolves the daemon from DOCKER_HOST and its own probe list; it never consults the Docker CLI context, so a working `docker` command is not enough on its own.
func Required ¶ added in v0.2.0
func Required() bool
Required reports whether an unavailable container must fail the test rather than skip it. Skipping is right on a workstation without Docker and wrong in CI, where it turns every container-backed package into a silent pass. REQUIRE_DOCKER opts a local run into the CI behavior.
TODO: consider requiring a container runtime unconditionally and dropping the skip entirely. Docker is already a stated prerequisite for developing substrate, and skipping locally hides that these packages went untested. Configure's `docker context inspect` probe is also a detection step rather than an attempt to run anything, so a podman setup fails it even where testcontainers would have resolved a socket on its own.
