Package bootstrap composes plugin descriptors, runtimes, and existing Atmos registries.

func DescribePackage(directory string, definition *manifest.Config, bindings []extension.Binding) (*pluginv1.DescribeResponse, error)
DescribePackage derives the required runtime handshake from validated package metadata.
func Descriptors ¶
Descriptors declares supported extension types. Lifecycle code receives this registry rather than switching over a closed list of capability names.

Prepare restores the project packages the configuration needs (see neededPackages) and registers their exports before auth initialization. Native binaries launch lazily when their services run.

func PrepareAvailable(ctx context.Context, atmos *schema.AtmosConfiguration, options ...Option) (func(), error)
PrepareAvailable temporarily registers verified local auth plugins needed by configured registry identities. It never restores packages or contacts a registry.

ProjectDirectory locates project-local plugin state using resolved config provenance.
