Overview ¶

Package typemap normalises native database column type strings into the OpenMetadata ColumnDataType enum, preserving the original string for display and extracting length/precision/scale where present. There is one mapping table per supported source; unmapped types fall back to UNKNOWN.

Result is the outcome of mapping a native type.

func Map(serviceType, native string) Result

Map normalises native into an OpenMetadata data type for the given service type ("Postgres", "Mysql", "Clickhouse"). It never fails: unknown types map to UNKNOWN.
