Overview

Package meta defines the data model consumed by the purego code generator.

FrameworkMeta is the serialisable representation of a single macOS framework's public API surface. The scanner writes one <framework>-<arch>-<sdk>.gometa.json file per framework; the purego generator reads them back to emit CGo-free Go packages.

Types

type Availability

type Availability = rootmeta.Availability

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type BlockType

type BlockType = rootmeta.BlockType

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type Class

type Class = rootmeta.Class

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type Enum

type Enum = rootmeta.Enum

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type EnumMember

type EnumMember = rootmeta.EnumMember

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type Extern

type Extern = rootmeta.Extern

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type FrameworkMeta

type FrameworkMeta = rootmeta.FrameworkMeta

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

func Read

func Read(path string) (*FrameworkMeta, error)

Read deserialises a .gometa.json file. The schema-version window is defined by internal/meta (the package that writes these files); referencing its constants here keeps the two readers from drifting.

type Function

type Function = rootmeta.Function

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk. It now re-exports the canonical types as aliases, so `meta.X` and `macosplatformmetadata.X` are the *same* type — the hundreds of existing `meta.*` references compile unchanged, and a framework value can be passed wherever a canonical value is expected (and vice versa).

Read (io.go) and the schema-version window still live here so the frameworks pipeline has a single import surface for loading .gometa.json.

type Method

type Method = rootmeta.Method

The metadata model is owned by internal/macosplatformmetadata (the canonical copy the scanner writes and both pipelines read). This package used to keep a hand-maintained parallel copy of the same structs with identical JSON tags, which was a standing drift risk.
