func AtomicWriteJSON(path string, v any, tmpPattern string) error

AtomicWriteJSON marshals v as indented JSON and writes it to path via a temporary file created alongside path (using tmpPattern, a pattern suitable for os.CreateTemp) followed by a rename, so readers never observe a partially written file.

func ReadJSON ¶

func ReadJSON(path string, v any) error

ReadJSON reads the file at path and unmarshals it into v. The error from a missing file is returned unwrapped so callers can keep using os.IsNotExist (or errors.Is(err, fs.ErrNotExist)) to detect a first run.
