Overview ¶
Package telemetry links correlation metadata to OpenTelemetry without treating correlation IDs as trace or span IDs. It forwards to adapters/otel, owning no provider/span/global propagator or shutdown. Projection outputs are owned and Links copy SpanContext values; disclosure keys are borrowed per call.
Deprecated: use github.com/faustbrian/go-correlation/adapters/otel. This package remains supported through the documented compatibility interval.

Constants ¶

Variables ¶
var ErrInvalidSpanContext = correlationotel.ErrInvalidSpanContext
ErrInvalidSpanContext reports a missing telemetry-owned trace identity.
Functions ¶
func Attributes ¶
func Attributes(values correlation.Values, policy correlation.DisclosurePolicy) ([]attribute.KeyValue, error)
Attributes returns bounded span/link attributes under an explicit disclosure policy, forwarding adapters/otel ordering, errors and empty-value skipping. Raw exposure does not itself validate ID text.
func Link ¶
func Link(spanContext trace.SpanContext, values correlation.Values, policy correlation.DisclosurePolicy) (trace.Link, error)
Link attaches correlation attributes to a telemetry-owned SpanContext. The supplied trace and span IDs are neither derived from nor replaced by IDs. It forwards adapters/otel validation and error precedence, creating no span.
func MetricAttributes ¶
func MetricAttributes(values correlation.Values) []attribute.KeyValue
MetricAttributes exposes fixed-cardinality presence signals only. Raw, hashed, and deterministic business-derived identifiers are never included.
