Overview ¶
Package tracingbridge is an internal bridge that lets first-party Genkit packages (genkit.Init, the reflection server, core/logger) reach tracing wiring in core/tracing without it being public API, or without an import cycle in core/logger's case. core/tracing installs the hooks from its init; because this package lives under go/internal, code outside the Genkit module cannot import it.

Variables ¶
var HasSpan func(ctx context.Context) bool
HasSpan reports whether ctx carries a Genkit span. core/logger uses it to decide whether a log call's own context or a logger's bound context names the active span: with no OpenTelemetry SDK installed, Genkit spans are not visible through the OTel context. Installed by core/tracing's init; nil when core/tracing is not linked in.
var SetDevTelemetryServer func(url string)
SetDevTelemetryServer points the Developer UI's trace export at the telemetry server at url. An empty url is ignored, and repeated calls with the same url are no-ops; a new url retargets export without disturbing spans that are still open. Installed by core/tracing's init.
