Version is the krit binary version reported by `status`. cmd/krit sets it from its own version variable so daemon clients can detect upgrades. Defaults to "dev" so out-of-band callers (tests) get a useful value without explicit wiring.

runServeSubcommand implements `krit serve`. Long-lived process that warms the module graph and exposes build-integration verbs over a Unix socket. `krit serve --stop` sends a shutdown request to an existing daemon at --socket.
