Documentation

Overview

Package releasechannel stores which release channel the user follows.

The choice is a single word in ~/.stackkits/channel so the shell installer and the CLI read the same file. Stable is the default; Early Access is the opt-in user channel that gets the builds the owner switched live (CI-CD-PLATFORM-STANDARD 4.6 "Channel model", D-2026-10-20-07/08). preview is the internal development Nightly: it still parses for the owner and the team, but it is never offered to users.
