Overview ¶
Command host runs one headless Department runtime host.
IT IS GENERIC AND IT REGISTERS NO AGENTS. Host serves whatever launch targets a PRODUCT gives it, and this binary reaches them through one injected seam — Bootstrap — rather than importing them. That is not a style preference: Host sits below every product in the release graph and import_boundary_test.go refuses a product import from anywhere in this module, tests included, so a binary that named Carbon's agents could not be built here at all.
A PRODUCT CANNOT YET SHIP ITS OWN MAIN AGAINST THIS. Bootstrap and Run live in package main, and two of Bootstrap's five methods name internal/ types — hostlink.Authenticator and residency.Workspaces — which no other module can implement. So today a product vendors this file, or Host grows an exported composition surface. Which of those it will be is not decided here; what is decided is that this comment does not claim the second one already exists. It was four of seven until sessionstore v0.7.0 let the composition bind the durable inbox and its cursor itself.
