func Canonicalize(paths []string) ([]string, error)

Canonicalize returns sorted, duplicate-free canonical filesystem paths. It resolves the deepest existing prefix through symlinks and appends a missing suffix. Empty inputs are ignored and any ambiguous resolution fails closed.
