Overview ¶
Command load is the load test (C-01.FR-7, NFR-1, NFR-2, P-44). It signs in as the bootstrap Admin and creates a Personal access token, an Integration, a Route with the Group key [alertname, cluster] and, unless -destination=none, a Mattermost Connection and Destination on the fake Mattermost server of `muster dev`. Its own fake Alertmanager then sends -rate webhooks per second for -duration that bring -alerts fingerprints into -groups Alert Groups, each group's Snapshot growing until it lists all its Alerts. It fails when a webhook is rejected or fails, when fewer Alerts fire or fewer Alert Groups are open than it sent, when the 99th percentile of muster_ingest_request_duration_seconds exceeds 1 s (P-44) or the 95th percentile of muster_delivery_latency_seconds exceeds 5 s (NFR-2); both are read from the histogram buckets on /metrics before and after the run. When nothing listens at the ingestion endpoint it reports that it skipped.
