weft-init

Overview ¶

weft-init is the PID-1 binary that boots inside an openweft micro-VM. It mounts the pseudo-filesystems the OCI runtime requires, configures pod-level networking, locates the pod spec dropped by the host (virtio-fs share or kernel cmdline), then hands control to the supervisor which exec's crun for each container in the pod.

The init is intentionally tiny — no daemon framework, no plugin model, no config file format beyond pod.Spec JSON. It is replaced rather than extended.
