dbkit

Overview ¶

Command dbkit is the global launcher. Install it once:

go install github.com/saeedjhn/dbkit/cmd/dbkit@latest

then use it inside any Go project:

dbkit init            # scaffold db/, dbkit.json, .env (asks questions)
dbkit make:migration create_users_table
dbkit migrate         # forwarded to the project's own runner

Commands that need no project code (init, env:*, config:*, doctor, make:*) run inside this binary. Everything else (migrate, db:seed, ...) is forwarded to the project's runner (`go run ./db <args>`), because migrations are Go code that must be compiled into the project.
