Overview ¶
Package ensemblemeteo is the library behind the ensemblemeteo command line: the HTTP client, request shaping, and the typed data models for the Open-Meteo Ensemble Weather Forecast API (probabilistic forecasts).
The Client here is the spine every command shares. It sets a real User-Agent, paces requests so a busy session stays polite, and retries the transient failures (429 and 5xx) that any public API throws under load.

Constants ¶
const DefaultUserAgent = "ensemblemeteo/dev (+https://github.com/tamnd/ensemblemeteo-cli)"
DefaultUserAgent identifies the client to Open-Meteo.
const Host = "ensemble-api.open-meteo.com"
Host is the ensemble API host.

Types ¶
type Client ¶
type Client struct {
HTTP *http.Client
UserAgent string
BaseURL string
// Rate is the minimum gap between requests. Zero means no pacing.
Rate time.Duration
Retries int
// contains filtered or unexported fields
}
Client talks to the Open-Meteo ensemble API over HTTP.
func (*Client) ForecastEnsemble ¶
func (c *Client) ForecastEnsemble(ctx context.Context, lat, lon float64, days int, model string) ([]EnsembleForecast, error)
ForecastEnsemble fetches the ensemble forecast and returns per-hour records with temperature mean, min, and max across all ensemble members.
type Config ¶
Config holds the tunable knobs for the client.
func DefaultConfig ¶
func DefaultConfig() Config
DefaultConfig returns sensible defaults for the Open-Meteo ensemble API.
type Domain ¶
type Domain struct{}
Domain is the ensemblemeteo driver. It carries no state.
func (Domain) Classify ¶
Classify turns any accepted input into the canonical (type, id). Two floats separated by comma → ("latlon", input) else → ("query", input)
func (Domain) Info ¶
func (Domain) Info() kit.DomainInfo
Info describes the scheme, the hostnames a pasted link is matched against, and the identity reused for the binary's help and version.
type EnsembleForecast ¶
type EnsembleForecast struct {
Time string `kit:"id" json:"time"`
Temperature float64 `json:"temperature"` // mean of all members
TempMin float64 `json:"temp_min"` // min across members
TempMax float64 `json:"temp_max"` // max across members
}
EnsembleForecast holds computed statistics for one time step across all ensemble members.
