okpos — business management for small and medium businesses (POS, inventory, expenses, and reporting).

Demo data

go run . -e .env seed populates an empty, migrated database with two years of realistic fake demo data across two businesses: a general-goods minimarket and a coffee shop. See internal/seeddata/ for how it's generated.

go run . -e .env migrateup  # recreate schema
go run . -e .env seed       # populate with demo data (~2-4 minutes at full scale)

Add --scale 0.05 (or similar) for a fast, lower-volume smoke test, and --seed <n> to change the deterministic RNG seed (default 42 — the same seed always produces the same dataset).

A pre-generated full-scale demo database (okpos-demo.db, ~320MB) is not tracked in git — regenerate it locally with the commands above if needed.
